53 - JAMES NOWAK ART GLASS CLAMSHELL SCULTPURE
James Nowak art glass clamshell sculpture. Masterfully sculpted with Millefiori and candy drop design. Signed Nowak to bottom and marked F4K1. Emerald interior. Measures 23 1/4" length x 11 3/4" height (59cm x 29.8cm). He was born in Washington in 1956 and works and lives there still today in Seattle. He developed his personal style based on the maritime Pacific Northwest. He learned how to blow glass with Dale Chihuly, Flora Benjamin Moore, Richard Royal, Dante Marioni, William Morris and many others. One of the most influential to him is Dale Chihuly who allowed Nowak to work with him on one of this winter glass-blowing teams held in Pilchuck.

Gelindo Monzini (Milan, 1840 - 1914) hand carved Carrara marble bust depicting the majestic image of Zeus. Signed "G MONZINI" and dated 1889. Measures 32" height x 27" width (81.2cm x 68.5cm). Monzini exhibited in Naples, Turin, Milan and Rome, and was known to be working in Milan between 1877 and 1889. A marble bust by Monzini can be found at the Sydney Museum.

65 - STEVE MC CURRY SRI LANKA PRINT SIGNED 1995
Steve Mc Curry, American, 1950 to present was born in Philadelphia. Titled: Fishermen at Weligama Sri Lanka. This is a signed photographic print depiction of the cultural openness in Sri Lanka, as individual fishermen crowned with indigenous turbans each mounted on stilts capture the essence of the working human to survive which Steve Mc Curry images have become modern icons. Deep henna hues of the native skin tones capture this sublime image while green waters and white sea foam contrast the rocky shoreline, palms and grey overcast sky transcending it into a timeless classic of our era. National Geographic featured this image on the cover of “The World in Photographs” author Ferdinand Protzman and a comparable image titled “South Coast, Sri Lanka, 1995” is included in the Phaidon Press edition of “South Southeast” by Mc Curry where a copy is signed and inscribed by photographer and dated 2006. Both are included along with the print in this lot. Mc Curry, a freelance photographer for National Geographic has won numerous awards including the Eisenstaedt and is a member of the Magnum Photos. Antique Russian Pavel Buhre pocket watch set in Russian silver and enamel guilloche presentation mounting. Watch has white enamel face with black Roman numerals and notches. Has black hour, minute and sub-second hands. Mounting has raised floral ribbon design throughout with chasework base. Has hand painted enalemeled scene depicting mother and child in countryside landscape scene. Holds 1893 assayer's mark with 84 silver purity mark and town mark. Measures 10 3/4" height (27.3cm). Watch face measures 1 3/4" diameter (4.4cm). The history of Buhre watch company began in 1815 in Saint Petersburg. It was established by Carl Buhre. Later his son Paul started to assist the farther with watches and after some time he took the family's business in his hands. In 1874 Paul Buhre acquired a large watch factory in one of Swiss watch industry centers Le Locle. In 1899 Trade House "Pavel Bure " was honored a title "supplier of emperor court".

Also marked 14505. Louis Comfort Tiffany began producing his Favrile glass (Favrile meaning hand made) in 1885 under the company name Tiffany Glass Company. 89 - ANTIQUE ELLIOT OF LONDON 9 TUBE GRANDFATHER CLOCK
This massive hall clock was manufactured in London, England by J.J. Elliott, LTD famous for these tubular giants. The bonnet top is fitted with rocaille, carved pediment, dentil moulded frieze and four fluted pilasters housing an 8 day, naturalistic design, gilt metal and painted moon face dial with secondary dials reporting Silent/Strike and Whittington/Westminster chiming mechanism. Continuing down the case with original, mahogany finish has three, oval, beveled glass panes, Corinthian, fluted columns flanking the hinged door opening to accommodate nine tubular bells, 3 brass weights and pendulum. Standing on raised base with repeating foliage design and paw feet this is a magnificent example of a transitional Rococo Neoclassical period time piece. Measures 103" height x 28 1/2" width x 19" depth (261.6cm x 72.3cm x 48.2cm).

94 - RARE WARRING STATES CARVED WHITE JADE FOOTED CUP
An Important, very rare White Jade goblet, this beautiful piece dates back to the Warring States period (400b.c. – 220b.c.) Jade utensils during this period were only reserved for the ruler or ruling household. With extremely high reliefs of mythical animals, clouds and petal shaped designs; an overlay of heavy gold leaf once covered the copper alloy foil. Surviving traces of gold among the surface of the vessel and Cupric Oxide degradation are evidence of extensive burial. Includes Analytical report concluding that the artifact is original. See similar example from Christie’s sale on 09/19/06, Lot 175 for $856,000. Measures 6 3/4" height x 2 1/2" diameter (17.1cm x 6.3cm). Total weight of 368 grams.
