4 - 24pcs STERLING SILVER ENAMELED FORKS & SPOONS
24 Spritzer & Fuhrmann Sterling silver enameled teaspoons and dessert forks set. Lot includes 12 teaspoons and 12 dessert forks. Enamel colors include yellow, purple, blue, pink, green and white. Each type includes a fitted box which holds six pieces each (total of 4 boxes). Forks measure 5 1/4" length (13.3cm). Spoons measure 4 5/8" length (11.7cm). Total weight of 14.7 ounces troy / 457 grams. Charles Fuhrmann came to Curaçao as a young man in 1929 to escape persecution and seek his fortune. Almost immediately he met and began working with Wolf Spritzer, a Jewish watchmaker from Hungary who had arrived on the island two years earlier. Spritzer's small workshop was no more than a tiny room in the offices of a successful local ship chandler, with separate spaces for watch repair and jewelry making. As business grew in the 1930s they opened a second shop on Curaçao; the island's first modern jewelry store, it had an expanded selection of merchandise showcased in elegant displays. Soon they also added an optical department. World War II boosted their business; US and European servicemen stationed on both islands were an eager and captive clients, as were the crews of the many vessels that called. It was after the war that Spritzer & Fuhrmann became an international symbol for quality shopping on Curaçao. The store found a ready clientele in the thousands of US cruise ship passengers that began visiting the island in the 1950s and 60s; a full 90% of the store's sales occurred during the cruise high season, December through April. A boutique was even opened in midtown Manhattan, New York, just off Fifth Avenue, where items purchased at any of the Caribbean affiliates were repaired free of charge.

Antique Royal Vienna Hand painted cup and saucer set. Cup has hand painted scene depicting the Battle at Heilsberg, signed Jovy. The saucer has a hand painted scene depicting the Coronation of Napoleon I, signed David. Each has a gilded border design on green background. Has Gold Crown over N mark to bottom of both pieces. This mark is similar to Naples marks. However there is speculation the decorator may be Sevres. The original wares were provided by Royal Vienna, Austria. Blue underglaze bee hive or Bindenschild mark to bottom of saucer. Makers mark covered in gold on cup. Circa 1900. Cup measures 2 3/4" height (6.9cm). Saucer measures 5 7/8"diameter (14.9cm).

8 - KONIGLICHE BERLIN KPM PORTRAIT CUP & SAUCER
Beautiful antique Berlin "Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur" KPM hand painted portrait cup depicting a young girl with dog. Bordering has gilded scroll and flora on white background. Handle and interior are gilded. Basin of saucer Has blue Berlin scepter mark to bottom. Circa 1852. Measures 4 7/8" height (12.3cm). Johann Ernst Gotzkowsky was forced to sell the factory to Frederick the Great in 1763. Berlin Porcelain and Frederick the Great. After acquiring the Berlin Porcelain factory, Frederick the Great took great steps to promote it and to maintain the quality of the porcelain and the wares. Condition: Great. No apparent chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. Some gilt loss.

9 - HAND PAINTED LAMM DRESDEN PORCELAIN CUP & SAUCER
Hand painted Lamm porcelain portrait cup depicting courting couples. Beautiful gilded floral designs with beading over burgundy background. Handle and interior are gilded with ivory flower to center of cup and saucer. Blue overglaze Lamb Dresden Made in Saxony mark to bottom. Has gold rose mark covering original manufacturer's mark. Early 20th century. Cup measures 2 1/4" height (5.7cm). Saucer measures 7 7/8" diameter (20cm). Ambrosius Lamm (Lamm, english 'lamb') opened his porcelain decorating business in 1887 and as a perfectionist only used items from renown companies like the 'Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur' in Meissen. He mainly decorated the items in the well known 'Dresden', 'Meissen' and 'Kopenhagen' styles but around 1906 his specialty was the 'Alt-Dresden' decoration (which represents a special form of flower arrangements) as well as the wide area of Watteau-type decorations and mythology. Shortly after the year 1934, Lamm retired and the business was taken over by his daughter together with Rudolf Pitschke who had before worked for her father. They continued to use the same marks but seem to have ventured into other areas as well because in 1943 the KPM Meissen appealed for court intervention as the decoration studio had tried to sell items marked with an impersonation of the crossed swords mark. Remarkably, there is nothing more known about the business and at least one source indicates the business still existed up until 1949 even if the road where the studio was located had been totally destroyed during the Dresden bombings in 1944.

11 - RUSSIAN SILVER IMPERIAL ARMS CREST HELMET
Great Russian Imperial helmet commemorative featuring a silver skull surmounted by silver crowned heraldry double-headed eagle coat of arms each stamped with silver smith “84” mark. The double headed eagle was adopted by the Russian tsars and one head represents the East, the other the West with the horseman in the middle characterizing St. George. The eagle’s head is crowned while the eagle’s claws grasp the orb and scepter. Continuing down the forged silver and gilt highlighted crest memorializes the Russian Revolution years between 1914 and 1915. The brass chin scale toggles up and down over the tilt bill style helmet ending in a studded lobster tail nape. Gilded interior. Holds Julius Rappaport work master mark and St. Petersburg town mark in lozenge. Measures 3 5/8” height x 4 1/8” width (9.2 cm x 10.4 cm x 6.3 cm). Total weight of 4.965 ounces troy/154.6 grams.

Antique Royal Vienna Austrian hand painted, porcelain, triple portrait stein. The cylindrical lid is decorated with an exterior landscape scene featuring advancing putti, one exposed breast maiden accompanied by youth and guardian in vibrant colored draping gowns encircled by repeating fleur de lis design in brass. On lid verso is an oceanic scene with sailing vessel background and bare breasted figure with weeping cherub signed by artist P. Robiger. The hinged closure pediment is a reticulated brass crown capping the gilt handle. The main portrait scene characterizes the “Die Tanzenden Grazien” translated “The Dancing Graces” highlighting another exposed breasted maiden flanked by attendants and second winged cherub in foreground of landscape vista. Additionally, the portrait scene is signed by artist, framed in gilt and the porcelain body has a cobalt surface decorated in naturalistic design gilded boarder. Blue Bee Hive AKA Bindenschild stamp and title on base. Measuring 6 3/8” in height (16.1cm). Condition: Good. No apparent chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. Some very, very minor losses to gilt.
