Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty fresco depicting two heavily armed maidens wielding swords, spears with bow & arrows. They are standing near a pine tree with birds flying above them. A serpent can be seen to the lower right. Made early Qing dynasty. Mounted in wooden frame. Measures 35 3/4" height x 23" width + 2" frame (90.8cm x 58.4cm + 5.1cm). Provenance: Purchased on November 1, 1975 at Antiques Pacifica, Inc., Honolulu, Hawaii.

Antique Japanese oil painting on panel depicting a seated Samurai cleaning his katana on a wooden bridge or walkway. His face showing expressions of happiness and peace. Holds 2 red seals to lower left. Verso holds note with calligraphy and three red seals. Made Edo period (1603–1868) to early Mejei period (1868–1912). Measures 41" height x 21" width + 2 1/2" mat & frame (104cm x 53.3cm + 6.3cm).

802 - PAIR OF JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINTS IN BAMBOO FRAMES
Pair of old Japanese woodblock prints mounted in bamboo wood frames and displayed behind glass screens. One depicts a warrior with spear eating food from kushiyaki while the woman who is serving watches him. The next depicts a woman and child walking near water with baskets full with a fresh harvest of berries. Each measures approx. 14" height x 6" width (35.5cm x 15.2cm). Frames measure approx. 34 3/4" height x 14" width (88.2cm x 35.5cm).

835 - QING CHINESE LANDSCAPE PAINTING ON SILK IN SCROLL
Antique Chinese panoramic landscape painting on silk in scroll depicting sages studying and playing music with attendants. Scroll includes 2 calligraphy drawings on rice paper with marks of Ming artist Shen Zhou (1427-1509). Landscape painting holds the marks of Sung dynasty artist Shi Zi Zhuang. Probably made Ch'ing Dynasty (1644–1911). Landscape painting measures 11" height x 130 1/2" width. Each calligraphy section measures 11" height x 10" width (27.9cm x 25.4cm).
