Large Mettlach Phanolith porcelain charger depicting a partially nude female figure riding on fish, flanked by a male and female figure submerged up to the waist in water. Etched initials signature lower left by Johannes Stahl. Holds impressed Mettlach Abbey mark to bottom with impressed 28 7040 07. Measures 20 3/4" diameter x 2 1/8" height (52.7cm x 5.4cm).
