Russian silver standing figural hippopotamus salt cellar having cabochon cut ruby jewels set to eyes and gold wash to bowl. Bowl has stylized laurel leaf border design. Gold wash interior. Holds town marks and 84 silver purity marks to bowl interior. Also holds Julius Rappaport Cyrillic I.P. workmaster marks to bowl interior. Measures 2 5/8" length x 1 5/8" height (6.6cm x 4.1cm).
