Russian silver recumbent hippopotamus figure. Finely crafted. Has cabochon bezel set garnet jewels to eyes. Holds Julius Rappaport Cyrillic workmaster marks to bottom. Holds 88 silver purity marks with town marks. Measures 3 1/4" length x 1 3/8" height (8.2cm x 3.4cm). Total weight of 59 grams / 1.90 ozt. Pre-Sale estimate $450-$500.
