This red lacquer tray with indented corners has a central design of landscape and figurines. Intricate flower designs on the top and back lip complete this beautiful piece. Includes original cloth covering and soft wood box. Similar example is illustrated in the "Oriental Lacquer Art" publication by Lee Yu-Kuan. Edo period, 19th century. Measures 10 1/2" length x 10 1/2" width (26.6cm x 26.6cm). Total weight including box approx. 1258 grams. Pre-Sale estimate $4000-$6000.
