48 - CHINESE GURI CARVED BLACK AND RED PASTE BOX
Chinese Guri carved black and red paste box having multiple layeres of black and red lacquer covering this Guri carved Chien-Huan design box. Incised with a 4 character mark of the Tai Ming Xande, a similar lot was sold at Christie's in 2006 (Lot 250). Measures 2 3/8" diameter x 1" height (6cm x 2.5cm). Total weight of 33 grams.

49 - JAPANESE RED LACQUER SQUARE PLATTER w BOX
This red lacquer tray with indented corners has a central design of landscape and figurines. Intricate flower designs on the top and back lip complete this beautiful piece. Includes original cloth covering and soft wood box. Similar example is illustrated in the "Oriental Lacquer Art" publication by Lee Yu-Kuan. Edo period, 19th century. Measures 10 1/2" length x 10 1/2" width (26.6cm x 26.6cm). Total weight including box approx. 1258 grams.

96 - CHINESE MING DYNASTY WOODEN TEMPLE GUARDIAN
Rare Chinese hand carved wood Ming Dynasty Period polychromed temple guardian statue. Masterfully crafted throughout depicting temple guardian holding sword and seated on throne. He is hand painted throughout having textured layered robe. He has elongated ears and original implanted facial hair. Measures 40" height x 24" width x 20" depth (101.6cm x 60.9cm x 50.8cm).

98 - RARE CHINESE GOLD LACQUERED IMPERIAL SEAL BOX
Extremely rare large Chinese gold lacquered imperial seal box. This Chinese seal box (The container that housed the official imperial seal of the Emperor) is beautifully covered in gold lacquer. Each panel of this box depicts a dragon and a phoenix, while the interior is outlined with the original Imperial Yellow silk. The top and the base are decorated with raised clouds. Measures 16" height x 16" width x 16" depth (40.6cm x 40.6cm x 40.6cm). Provenance: Exhibited at "Treasures of the Chinese Nobility" Cornell Fine Art Museam, 1997.

99 - EARLY WESTERN/EASTERN HAN DYNASTY WOOD HORSE
Early Western Han to Eastern Han dynasty lacquered wooden horse. This majestic lacquered horse, carved totally out of a single block of wood was produced for burial purposes of a powerful and noble person (perhaps a leader) duing the Western Han Dynasty (206BC - 8AD) to the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220AD). Horses were highly esteemed during this dynasty and this particular object has a majestic pose, with it's neck upright, slightly bulging eyes, mouth slightly opened, ears erect, nostrils flaring and well defined hooves. Missing tail and rider based on photos from actual burial site. (Similar example sold at Christie's NY, March 29, 2006, lot 336 for $419,000.00) Measures 29" height x 25" length (73.6cm x 63.5cm). Western Han (206BC - 8AD) to Eastern Han period (25AD - 220AD). Provenance: Exhibited at "Treasures of the Chinese Nobility" Cornell Fine Art Museum, 1997.

Stunning Chinese hand woven gold threaded kimono. Has intricate woven gold design throughout depicting dragons with clouds and fire with red, black, silver and orange color over purple and orange grounds. Gold silk interior lining. Measures approx. 59" height from shoulder to end x 26" width arm pit to armpit.

2 hand carved hollowed vessels. The first is a finely carved relief boxwood snuff bottle box. Next is a figural carved wooden frog prayer box with stone Buddha carving. Snuff bottle box measures 4 1/4" height x 2 3/4" width x 1 1/4" height (10.7cm x 6.9cm x 3.1cm). Prayer box measures 2 1/4" height x 2 5/8" length (5.7cm x 6.6cm).

3 Chinese hand carved stone plaques. Each very nicely carved with attention to detail. Each having hand carved coral flowers growing from spinach green jade stems. Each frame having a different type of Chinese vase vase with hand etched decoration. Each vase is set on a carved white coral base. Also in the pictures are amber dead flowers with jade stem, Amber coins, tea set with cups and Buddha. There is also a jade vessel and white coral with pink coral scroll. Each having carved ivory calligraphy to upper left. Each measures approx 30" height x 12 1/2" width (76.2cm x 31.7cm).
