Massive blue & white Chinese porcelain charger. This beautiful piece has a central circular panel of birds amongst trees and rocks along a river scene. The flared lip completes the item with 10 different cranes all positioned differently between stylized ribbons and clouds. "T" shaped panels compliment the "Y" circled figures on the underside of the lip. Underglaze base. 16th/17th century. 21 1/2" diameter. Total approx. weight of 6 kilograms.

57 - YUAN DYNASTY RARE CHINESE BLUE & WHITE STEM CUP
Yuan dynasty rare Chinese blue & white stem cup. The interior of this cup is of flowers and leaved complimenting stylized cloud scrolls encircled on the rim. The outside has molded scroll leaves above a base of 6 molded panels of petals. Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368AD). Measures 3 1/2" height x 3" diameter (8.9cm x 7.6cm). Total weight of 191 grams.

58 - CHINESE PEACH BLOOM GLAZED MEI PING VASE
Chinese peach bloom glazed Mei Ping vase. This rare piece is covered with a mottled glaze of greyish-raspberry tone, stopping neatly around the foot base. Holds Kangxi 6 character blue underglaze reign mark and of the period of 18th century. Measures 5 1/2" height x 2 1/2" width (13.9cm x 6.3cm). Total weight of 193 grams. Provenance: Exhibited at "Treasures of the Chinese Nobility" Cornell Fine Art Museam, 1997.

59 - RARE CHINESE KUAN TYPE GLAZED BRUSH WASHER
Rare Chinese Kuan type glazed brush washer. Dating from the Ming Dynasty or earlier, this brush washer is in the form of a flower shaped vessel. The total surface is typical of Song Dynasty Kuan Ware. The vessel is resting on 3 pointed evenly spaced legs of stylized clouds. The base is glazed with spur marks which function in the firing of the piece (Northern Sung Kuan ware is completely glazed and fired on support spurs. The glaze layer is rich and thick, displays a good deal of crackle, and had tiny spur-marks which generally lie close to the inner edge of the food ring. Provided the above conditions are met and the glaze is sky blue or greenish blue types, one can be doubly certain it is of Northern Sung Kuan Ware.....From a summary of Chinese Ceramics, volume 2...Sung Wares by Liu Linang-Yu). Impressive Chinese oval shaped jadeite plaque depicting fish. There are 9 fish around a pea pod, this high relief jadeite carving has beautiful bright emerald accents. The back of this plaque has deeply carved foliage with a large leaf. 19th/20th century. Measures 5 1/2" height x 4" width. Total weight of 367 grams.

Very nice Chinese hand carved teakwood figural Ruyi scepter with lingzhi design to top. Buddha is depicted reading an ancient scroll as his attendants hold open the scroll and others look on with admiration. Also in the scene are trees and bats. Fine chasing of dragons and pearl decorate one gold section, while sacred leaves adorn the adjacent gold segment, intermingled with jadeite divisions, all in the fashion of the late 1800’s. Body has a two handle figural dragon head design to each side with relief rings. Has three feet each having a foo mask design. Includes fitted wooden base with silver inlay and silk presentation box. Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong hand painted enameled porcelain moon flask vase having unusual Western fox hunt scene with male and female figures riding on horses. Surrounding them are scent hound dogs. The male and female figures are each holding a whip and the male is blowing a horn. In the background a building can be seen bearing a religious Christian cross to the top of a steeple. Also in the scene are trees, mountains and flowers. Has gilded dragon handles and turquoise and red enamel diamond embellishments. Gilded scroll floral design over cobalt blue ground border design. Holds Qianlong (1736-1795) six character archaic reign mark to bottom. Made 19th to early 20th century. Measures 13 3/4" height x 9 1/4" width x 4 3/4" depth (34.9cm x 23.4cm x 12cm). The Emperor shown clutching his imperial beaded necklace and wearing dragon robe with dragon throne. 18th/19th century. Finely carved throughout with high attention to detail. Each holds Qian Long reign mark to bottom. Includes stylized lotus blossom fitted wooden bases. 98 - RARE CHINESE GOLD LACQUERED IMPERIAL SEAL BOX
Extremely rare large Chinese gold lacquered imperial seal box. This Chinese seal box (The container that housed the official imperial seal of the Emperor) is beautifully covered in gold lacquer. Each panel of this box depicts a dragon and a phoenix, while the interior is outlined with the original Imperial Yellow silk. The top and the base are decorated with raised clouds. Measures 16" height x 16" width x 16" depth (40.6cm x 40.6cm x 40.6cm). Provenance: Exhibited at "Treasures of the Chinese Nobility" Cornell Fine Art Museam, 1997.

99 - EARLY WESTERN/EASTERN HAN DYNASTY WOOD HORSE
Early Western Han to Eastern Han dynasty lacquered wooden horse. This majestic lacquered horse, carved totally out of a single block of wood was produced for burial purposes of a powerful and noble person (perhaps a leader) duing the Western Han Dynasty (206BC - 8AD) to the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220AD). Horses were highly esteemed during this dynasty and this particular object has a majestic pose, with it's neck upright, slightly bulging eyes, mouth slightly opened, ears erect, nostrils flaring and well defined hooves. Missing tail and rider based on photos from actual burial site. (Similar example sold at Christie's NY, March 29, 2006, lot 336 for $419,000.00) Measures 29" height x 25" length (73.6cm x 63.5cm). Western Han (206BC - 8AD) to Eastern Han period (25AD - 220AD). Provenance: Exhibited at "Treasures of the Chinese Nobility" Cornell Fine Art Museum, 1997.
