Large Chinese hand carved ivory figural chicken boat. Has seven carved figures each doing a separate activity. Also has an ivory urn on deck with red coral. Large mast to center having two sails with calligraphy. Etched designs throughout depicting dragons. Includes wooden display stand. 19th/20th century. Large Chinese hand carved hippopotamus ivory figure depicting a trotting kylin beast with Guan Yin figure on back seated on foo dog. Intricately relief carved throughout and polycrhomed. Exquisite detail. Signed to bottom Song Shan. Includes fitted wooden base. 19th/20th century. Measures 20" height x 19" length x 7 1/2" depth (50.8cm x 48.2cm).

102 - RARE CHINESE LOST WAX CAST BRONZE BIRD CONTAINER
This extremely rare bronze wine container is inlayed with silver, gold and copper. The total surface is covered with cupric oxides due to extended burial. The back as well as both sides of the object depicts coiled serpents and archaic style birds, while the chest shows an inlaid mythical horn animal against a lewien pattern ground. The removable head is also inlayed with gold and silver giving the appearance of layered feathers. From the Warring states period (475-221 BC). Measures 10 1/4" height (26cm). Total weight of approx. 1652 grams. Provenance: Includes analytical report confirming age. Provenance: Exhibited at "Treasures of the Chinese Nobility" Cornell Fine Art Museam, 1997.

103 - INTRICATELY CARVED & PAINTED CHINESE IVORY TUSK
Stunning relief carved polychromed Chinese ivory carved elephant tusk. Has 17 individually carved figures doing different activities. Depicts Immortals with Phoenix. With them is minstrels, servants and gift givers. At base holds a breath taking design with a bust of Buddha fully cut out in the interior of the tusk. Buddha is depicted with hands to front. Has a cabochon cut coral bead to forehead. Covering the face is a dragon breathing fire with a dragon jewel. Surrounding them is clouds and water. Also mountains can be seen. Signed to side of piece. Late 19th or early 20th century. Includes silver inlay wooden base. Absolutely one of the most impressive ivory tusks to come out of a South Florida Estate in many, many years. Measures 28 1/2" height x 7" width + 2 3/8" base height (72.3cm x 17.7cm + 6cm). This lot has been relisted due to non-paying bidder Zvi Oren from Israel.

Attributed to Yue Minjun (CHINESE, 1962) oil painting on canvas depicting two laughing men doing a fake stick-up. One is standing the other and hold his right hand to his back like he is holding a gun. The other man has his hands in the air as if he is being robbed. Both are laughing hysterically. In the background, Mt. Fuji can be seen. Signed lower right. Measures 30" height x 40" width (76.2cm x 101.6cm).

English period tall case clock dating between1800-1820, Japanned with red lacquer, hand painted gilt ornamentation and Asian genre scenes in relief. The pediment is crowned with 3 turnip carved finials and the brass face reveals maker George Clapham at Whitton. Eight day striking with original lead weights. Exquisite Japanese hand carved ivory boat group figure. Finely carved throughout to depict 13 people on a long sampan boat. Each is doing different activities and wearing different garb. A monkey, tools and supplies can also be seen. The exterior of the boat is meticulously textured to resemble wooden planks as rushing water is crashing against the vessel. 19th century. Also in the scene are tables with bonsai and flowers. Scene is completed with reticulated scrolled courtyard fence. 19th/20th century.
