Hand painted Russian modern lacquer box. Depicts a family in their home feeding a turkey and chicks. A young child sits amused as the turkey is very close feeding from the bowl. The family revels in the child's amusement. After the original work by Ekaterina Marochkina from the village of Fedoskino. Signed lower right Marochkina in Cyrillic. Red lacquer interior. Measures 7/8" height x 4 3/4" length x 3 3/4" width (2.2cm x 12cm x 9.5cm). Total weight of 141 grams. Pre-Sale estimate $500-$700.
