Lot 70a - KORNILOV PORCELAIN PAINTING PETER I INTERROGATING
Classical rendering in porcelain of Peter the Great interrogating his son Alexei, originally painted by Nikolai Ge in 1871. On reverse revealing the coat of arms mark, double headed Imperial eagle-factory name “Korniloff Brothers in St. Petersburg”, and 1885/7. Guaranteed authentic. Measures: 10 ¼” height x 12 ½” width + 4 ¼” period, gilt frame (26.6cm x 32.3cm + 11cm). Pre-Sale estimate $4000-$6000.
